The linked file is a .zip archive that contains two files. The first is unicorns.csv. This file is used throughout both books. Table 2.2 of Using R gives a thorough description of its contents. The other file is unicornIslandDensity.csv. This file contains population sizes for the unicorn study, in each year for which data are represented in unicorns.csv. This file is used in chapter 4 of Using R, to demonstrate several techniques for relating data in one dataset to information in a second dataset.
